   This virus is named after the resources it installs.  There are two known “strains” of this virus.  These are simply called nVIR–A and nVIR–B.  There is also a version of nVIR–B that uses resources of type “Hpat” instead of “nVIR” and installs CODE 255 into applications.  Other variations use resources of type “AIDS”, “MEV#”, “nFLU”, and 
“Jude”.
   It has been discovered that an nVIR resource with an ID of 10 will block an infection by this virus.  Therefore many virus removal and protection programs will install this resource into Systems and applications.

   However, it is my opinion that since many detection programs detect the presence of ANY nVIR resource as an infection, the presence of this resource may cause confusion.  I feel that regular and cautious use of a good virus detection program is of greater benefit.
